Moving to Maple Grove?
Whether business or pleasure takes you to a new home, apartment or job in Maple Grove, there is something for everyone. Love to shop? Did you know that Maple Grove is home to more retail than nearly any other city in Minnesota, second only to Bloomington, the home of the Mall of America, so that almost does not count! The town was also named the second best place to live in 2014 by Money magazine. Ace Midwest Moving can help you relocate to Maple Grove MN. Want to learn more about Maple Grove? Check out The City Focus newsletter which is published on a quarterly basis and is mailed to all households, apartments and businesses. Additional copies are available at the Maple Grove Government Center, Community Center, and Transit Station. Or read the latest City Focus here.
Wondering whether you should use us to do the packing and unpacking or doing it yourself? Let us help you with a few pointers and questions to ask yourself.
Are you a person that people describe as organized?
Do you have the time to pack your belongings?
Do you know how to pack your belongings safely?
Do you have many difficult to pack items or special family treasures?
Do you want to?
If you are an organized individual and have the time to pack before the move needs to happen, you would be a perfect candidate for the “do it yourself” way. Otherwise, let our moving crew do the work for you. Our crews are careful, trained in proper packing, experienced and expedient!
For the “Do It Yourself-er”
Get a nice variety of differently sized boxes, ample packing tape and several different colored wide tip markers.
Pack heavy items in small boxes, remember, you have to be able to lift the box!
Color code the boxes for the rooms that they go into. It is easier to tell a mover to put items into the yellow room upstairs versus the 2nd bedroom. This way you will know for sure the boxes land in the rooms you want!
Always create a box(es) with essentials and keep them with you.
Sort boxes into two categories: on the truck and with me.
Items to always keep with you or items that we can not move
Legal papers, passports, bank and credit information. medical and school records.
Pets and pet supplies
Cleaning supplies (sorry we can not move your cleaning supplies, paints and chemicals)
Your childs favorite toy
First needed tools; for example: drill, drill bits, hammer, screwdrivers, level, tape measure, nails and screws
Snacks and drinks
